Beninese singer-songwriter, Angelique Kidjo, has visited Afro-fusion singer, Burna Boy, and his mother, Bose Ogulu.
The 59-year-old is seen in videos shared on Instastories by Burna Boy on Friday having a good time with the Ogulus.
Burna, who has always been vocal of his admiration for Kidjo, captioned one of the videos of Kidjo’s visit ‘icon’.
Kidjo beat Burna Boy and a few others to the Grammy award for Best World Music Album category held last Sunday in Los Angeles, US.
During her acceptance speech, Kidjo dedicated her fourth Grammy award to Burna Boy and celebrated a new generation of African artistes coming up to represent the continent.
Burna has since thanked the activist-singer for the gesture.
He was nominated for the category for his African Giant album alongside Altin Gun, Gece; Bokante and Metropole Orkest Conducted By Jules Buckley, What Heat; Nathalie Joachim With Spektral Quartet, Fanm D’ayiti; and Angelique Kidjo, Celia.
