An armed group identified as the Angry Vipers has threatened to attack businessman and socialite Obi Iyiegbu aka Obi Cubana for having deputy commissioner of police Abba Kyari at his mother’s burial.

Obi Cubana held a lavish funeral for his mum in Oba, Anambra State in July. Several celebrities, business people and politicians were present at the funeral.

Mr Kyari, who is currently suspended from the Nigeria Police Force for his alleged involvement in fraud with the Instagram celebrity currently on trial in the United States Ramon Abass aka Hushpuppi, was also seen at the ceremony. The pictures of both men together immediately went viral.

In reaction to Kyari’s presence in the southeast and at the funeral, the Angry Vipers said in a viral video that Obi Cubana will hear from them.

The group also gave traditional rulers in the south-east 21 days to have leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu released from federal custody.

“To the kings and chiefs in our land, you have decided to reduce yourselves to less than used sanitary pads. You are now being toiled about by uncircumcised Fulanis due to your idiocy and bribery. We, the Angry Vipers, are giving you 21 days to leave our land unless Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is released.

“For Obi Cubana and co. who are closely working with the killers of our youths, you and your crew made sure that Abba Kyari returned to Anambra State, you will hear from us. From now onwards, we will put a stop to any form of tax directed to markets, road transports, such as bikes, vehicles and sundry, within the Biafra land. Henceforth, it shall be bloody, all hell shall be let loose. This very press statement is irrevocable,” the group said.

Obi Cubana was recently released after spending three nights in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) answering questions on money laundering and tax evasion.
