Actress Annie Idibia has resurfaced on Instagram after weeks of silence, wiping her entire page of posts, captions and any traces of the past.
The social media reset happened early Thursday, just days after her estranged husband, singer Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia, was spotted shopping at a luxury boutique with Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
Annie has kept a low profile since news of her separation from the ‘African Queen’ singer broke in January.
However, this latest move hints at a fresh start amid a breakup that has played out messily in public.
Back in January, 2Baba shocked fans by announcing on Instagram, “I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now and currently filed for divorce.”
Though he later deleted the post, he doubled down in a live video, saying, “No one hacked my account. I said what I said. I come in peace.”
The couple, who married in 2012, later unfollowed each other on social media, further confirming their split.
Annie has previously spoken about the emotional toll of their relationship, including dealing with infidelity, personal struggles and a miscarriage, as revealed in Young, Famous & African.
Meanwhile, 2Baba appears to have moved on.
A viral video from March 25 showed him and Natasha Osawaru at designer Seyi Vodi’s fashion store, where she was heard saying, “Came shopping. Wearing this to parliament on Monday.”
This followed another viral clip in February where 2Baba was seen proposing to Natasha, sparking mixed reactions.
With Annie wiping her social media clean, fans are speculating she is ready for a new chapter.
“When a woman clears her whole page like that, just know she’s entering a new era. Annie no dey play,” an X user wrote.
“We love and miss you so much @annieidibia1,” another fan commented.
Despite the changes, Annie still retains ‘Idibia’ in her Instagram handle and has yet to publicly address the separation.
