Heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, has accepted an apology from Amir Khan after the latter admitted that accusations of an extramarital affair between his wife, Faryal Makhdoom Khan, and Joshua were “all lies”.
The 30-year-old accused Joshua last week of having a relationship with his wife after their recent break-up and posted a series of alleged messages between his fellow British boxer and Faryal on Twitter.
Joshua was quick to distance himself from the situation and on Friday, Faryal posted on Twitter that her husband had been sent “fake screenshots” alleging that she and Joshua had been speaking, adding that the two “have never even met”.
She added that “it’s all cleared up now” and Amir Khan tweeted Joshua to say: “Glad all is cleared up and all lies. I got angry like any man would. No truth to it. Good to know. All the best.”

The Nigerian-born 27-year-old, who reacted to the initial incident with good humour by tweeting a video of Shaggy’s ‘It Wasn’t Me’, replied: “Apology accepted”.
