Heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, has invited Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, for a special Christmas treat in Nigeria.
The IBF and WBA holder may be eyeing a fight against WBO titleholder, Joseph Parker, early next year but he is keen to get into the festive spirit.
Joshua spent time with the Frenchman on Tuesday, with both stars sharing selfies of the meeting on social media.
Former World Cup champion, Henry, appears to be motivated by the jollof rice on the menu in Nigeria.
Sharing the snap on both Twitter and Instagram, Joshua said: “Good to see you @thierryhenry. P.S. There’s a seat for you at the Christmas table.”
Henry was more than happy to accept, captioning his own picture: “Great to see you today Champ @anthony_joshua. P.S. Keep that seat free for me at your Christmas table #jollofrice”.
Jollof rice is a classic Nigerian dish traditionally served at Christmas.
It seems like Henry has already decided on the menu.
