British- Nigerian boxer, Anthony Joshua, was taunted by his opponent, Jarrell Miller, as the pair clashed at a heated news conference in Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old heavyweight champion and Miller were making their first media appearance ahead of their June 1 championship bout.
Miller shoved Joshua hard in the chest within seconds of taking to the stage forcing security to interven on multiple occasions.
During insults trade-off, Anthony Joshua mocked Miller, he said: “He’s the softest puncher in the heavyweight division.”
Miller then taunted the Watford-based boxer, “Your mum think I hit hard, though.”
Joshua quickly replied: “Where’s your mum? She be lucky, I pay her rent now. I’m your landlord.”
Speaking about criticism from observers over what is supposedly weak match; Joshua described the bout as a strategic step in his aim to be considered as one of the sport’s greatest heavyweights.
