France forward, Antoine Griezmann, has been named as the UEFA Euro 2016 Player of the Tournament.
The Atletico Madrid star scored six times and claimed two assists as the hosts reached the final, where they were beaten by Portugal.
His haul – twice as many as anyone else at the tournament – included a double against world champions Germany in the semi-finals.
Griezmann’s selection was made by a 13-strong panel of technical observers, which included Sir Alex Ferguson and David Moyes.
UEFA chief technical officer, Ioan Lupescu, who led the panel which selected the best XI, said:
“Antoine Griezmann was a threat in every game he played. He works hard for his team and possesses technique, vision and quality finishing.
“The technical observers were in unanimous agreement that he was the tournament’s outstanding player.”
