Worry and shock have greeted the news that Nigeria international Obafemi Martins joined Chinese Super League side Wuhan FC on a one-year deal.
The 35-year-old joined Wuhan on a free after his contract with Shanghai Shenhua was terminated last week.
He had been touted at Shanghai as the replacement for Odion Ighalo who is on loan at Manchester United.
However, some Nigerians on Twitter worry for the forward’s health with Wuhan being the origin of the coronavirus pandemic. Others have reacted with shock.
