The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that its national convention will hold on February 26.
Chairman, caretaker extraordinary convention planning committee Mai Mala Buni, who is also Yobe State governor, stated this on Tuesday at the progressives women congress in Abuja.
There are, however, concerns that the date might not be feasible as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will conduct several bye-elections on February 26.
The electoral commission is obligated by law to send representatives to observe such gathering.
This development comes a day after the director-general of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, a body of governors in the APC, Salihu Lukman resigned over the delay of the convention.
