The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dissolved its National Working Committee (NWC).
The NWC was dissolved on Thursday at the virtual National Executive Committee meeting called by Victor Giadom.
“Following the recommendation of President Muhammadu Buhari, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been dissolved,” presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, wrote on Twitter.
The NWC had favoured former Oyo governor, Abiola Ajimobi, as the party’s acting national chairman with the backing of the suspended substantive national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
Also, Yobe State Governor, Mai-Mala Buni, was at the meeting named chairman, caretaker/extra-ordinary convention committee.
He was immediately sworn in by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.
