The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to the sack of Gboyega Oyetola as governor of Osun State.
Osun State governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja on Friday declared Ademola Adeleke as winner of the September 2018 governorship election in the state, dismissing Oyetola in the process.
The tribunal said Adeleke won the election on the first ballot, and that the rerun was illegal.
Osun APC spokesman, Kunle Oyatomi, said on Friday that it was a “temporary victory” for Adeleke and the PDP.
“We are going to appeal the judgment by the grace of God and we are sure the judgment cannot stand.
“This is a temporary setback for us, we know, but we know this judgment will be overturned either by the Appeal Court or at the Supreme Court.
“There is no reason why anyone should fret at this point, we appeal to our supporters and members to be calm,” he said.
