Spokesman of Buhari 2019 Presidential Campaign, Festus Keyamo, has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State was formed in his house.
Mr Keyamo, a senior lawyer, said this on Friday during his screening as a ministerial nominee at the Senate.
“The first major meeting of APC in Delta was held in my house; in my parlour. So I can say the APC in Delta State was formed in my house.
“I want to be part of the process; I have a lot to prove and I want to make a change,” he said.
The former lead prosecutor of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said he was “brought up and mentored by (late) Gani Fawehinmi and President Buhari”.
“My life has been dedicated to the crusade of social justice using the instrumentality of the law. I prosecuted many high profile cases as a lead prosecutor for EFCC,” he said.
The Senate had earlier on Friday subjected the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, to over an hour of scrutiny.
The upper chambers, however, told the immediate past Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika, to ‘take a bow’ for being a former member of the National Assembly.
