All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has re-appointed the governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, into its Board of Trustees (BoT).
The party also appointed Emeka Ojukwu and Bianca Ojukwu, son and widow of late Biafran warlord, Odumegwu Ojukwu, as members of the board.
The decision was reached at the party’s national convention in Awka on Friday.
APGA also re-elected Victor Oye as its national chairman.
Others members of the board are Senator Victor Umeh, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Dame Etiaba, Dr Ifeyinwa Obegolu, Raph Igwa, Sani Shinkafi, Sola Oyedeji and Sunday Umeoduagu.
Also on the board are Chike Udensi, Habib Gajo, Romanus Ezeonwuka, Paul Odenigbo, Hauwa Funtua, Lugunga Bako, Ahamdi Nweke, W.T. Gbor, Dr Uju Okeke and Yusuf Mohammed.
Others are Joe Orji, Abubakar Mohammed, Prof. David Bamgboye, Anthony Enukeme, Patrick Obianwu, Uche Okafor, Anayo Nebe, Ben Nwankwo and Barth Offia.
The party chairman named Obiano as chair of the board.
He also thanked Obiano for his role in lifting APGA from a regional party to the third most influential political party in the country.
“We are robust and healthy as a political party. We have N1.3bn intact in the bank as I speak now. By the time we round off our tenure in the next four years, APGA would be the party to beat in any election in the country.
“I enjoin aggrieved members, maybe for the last time, to sheathe their swords and come back and join in building the party,” Oye said.
