General overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM) Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere on Tuesday, May 24 took the family of the late Deborah Samuel out for dinner after giving them a mini-estate and a Toyota Corolla car.
Ms Samuel was killed for allegedly blaspheming against Prophet Muhammad in Sokoto.
Apostle Chinyere took the large family of nine to Golden Tulip Hotel in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital where they had a table to themselves and enjoyed meals together.
The clergyman posted photos and videos of the outing to Facebook.
He said, “Dinner at Golden Tulip with the family of Deborah Samuel. I give God all the glory because today 24 May 2022, God has used me to remove poverty from their generation forever. All glory be to God Almighty.”
This is a new beginning for the late Samuel’s family who used to live in a hut in Niger State. Until now, the deceased’s father Garba Emmanuel was a security guard with the Niger State Water and Sanitation.
Apostle Chinyere posted a 54-second video to Facebook to show the public how he handed the deed to the family. In the video, the pastor, with the help of an Hausa interpreter, told the couple that they can start renting the houses. The elated couple could not help but go on their knees to thank their benefactor.
Pictures of the couple signing the deed were also posted to Facebook.
Apostle Chinyere personally received the family of the deceased at the airport before leading them to their mini-estate.
On May 16, the cleric publicly declared his readiness to relocate the family to Port Harcourt and start a new life for them. Samuel’s family say they will not be seeking redress in court over the death of their daughter, but will be leaving everything in God’s hands.
