Senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has announced plan to launch ‘our airline’, apparently referring to his ministry.
The preacher who recently acquired a private jet said in a tweet on Tuesday that he hoped to employ 3,000 Africans through the airline.
Though he did not give the name of the airline, Suleman said 50 per cent of the airline’s staff would be Nigerians as “part of our contribution to nation building”.
“Starting our airline very soon..hoping to employ 3000 Africans. 50percent Nigerians..part of our contribution to Nation building..God helping us,” he tweeted.
Apostle Suleman had in April via a post on Instagram replied critics of his purchase of a private jet that it was not a big deal and that there was more to come.
He said: “A wise man doesn’t speak because he wants to say something, a wise man speaks because he has something to say. I hear people talking about the private jet and all of that, it’s not a big deal.
“God told me we are going to have our own airlines, hangars. We are going to carry members for free.
“So, if you are complaining about one jet, I don’t know what you are going to do when you hear twenty, I don’t know what you are going to do when you hear thirty.
“So, please keep your capacity, keep your gun powder because you will need it when the planes get to fifty. We are just starting.’’
