President of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide Apostle Johnson Suleman on Thursday announced he had hit the 1 million followers mark on Twitter.
His cable channel Celebration TV first broke the news on Instagram, saying “GOOD NEWS! Apostle Suleman hits 1 million followers on Twitter.”
Suleman reposted it on the photo-sharing app.
Over the years, Suleman has had to deal with allegations of extra-marital affairs with entertainers.
The cleric is a regular face on Twitter where he comments on his church’s activities, politics, sports and others.
His most recent political comment was on Tuesday, March 7 when he said he was behind the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, going to court over the outcome of the February 25 poll.
He tweeted, “Was just told about a video of where I told people after 2015 or 2019 election to forget about the courts is being circulated like I said it recently. Lol.
“I am solidly behind Peter Obi going to court. I have never said otherwise in secret or public..disregard.”
The clergyman has been outspoken about his preference for Obi.
Meanwhile, Suleman has since crossed the 1 million followers mark on Instagram. He has over 4 million followers on the app. His wife Lizzy is trailing behind with 92, 000 followers on Twitter.
On the bird app, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye has 2.2 million followers.
Founder and general superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church Pastor William Kumuyi has about 126,000 Twitter followers while the presiding pastor of Salvation Ministries David Ibiyeomie has nearly 200,000 followers.
