President of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide Apostle Johnson Suleman on Sunday paid tributes to Bishop Benson Idahosa on his 25th death anniversary.
Suleman described him as the one who led him to Christ and tutored him, quoting Hebrews 11:4.
He tweeted, “25yrs ago this day,you slept in the Lord..The man who led me to Christ and tutored me..rest on papa. Archbishop BENSON IDAHOSA. Hebrews 11.4 (being dead yet speaketh).”
Every year, Suleman does not fail to pay tributes to Idahosa who is regarded as the father of pentecostalism in Nigeria.
In 2021, he said Idahosa was a “fearless and bold leader, a man who spoke truth to power, a man who stood by every minister of the gospel. He had a large heart of gold, he was always a shoulder to cry on.”
Idahosa was the founder of Church of God Mission International and founder of Benson Idahosa University in Benin City, Edo State.
He died on March 12, 1998 and is survived by his wife Margaret Idahosa and four children.
