An Appeal Court, sitting in Ilorin, on Tuesday upturned the ruling of the Kwara State High Court which pronounced Ishola Balogun-Fulani as Kwara APC chairman.
The Appeal Court said the high court lacked jurisdiction to hear the Balogun-Fulani’s case challenging his dismissal as the APC chairman in the state.
The Ibrahim Saulawa led three-man panel also affirmed the authenticity of Bashir Bolarinwa-led APC state executives which has the backing of the party’s national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
The court had, in an interlocutory appeal last week, upheld the nomination of AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as the Kwara APC governorship candidate.
The latest court judgment upholds the position of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) which had expelled Balogun-Fulani and members of his state executive committee from the party.
