Channels TV anchor Maupe Ogun-Yusuf has reacted to a video of content creator Chinonso Egemba alias Aproko Doctor on the use of sponge to bathe.
Aproko Doctor uploaded the video on social media on Monday where he said humans do not really need sponges to bathe.
According to him, the use of hard sponges is not recommended as they tear the skin in ways the eyes cannot see. He further said the tears can introduce micro organisms into the body which can cause skin infection.
Aproko Doctor said the skin has natural oil and the use of hard sponges will deprive the skin of it which can lead to itching.
He advised that if hard sponges must be used by those who work in dirty environments, it should be used occasionally.
Reacting to this on X, Mrs Ogun-Yusuf said her husband would no longer use a sponge.
“This is the post my husband has been waiting for….now he’s never gonna use a sponge again. See what you caused…I hope you’re happy now,” she wrote.
