Senior pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in London Matthew Ashimolowo and his wife Yemisi are celebrating the 43rd anniversary of their union.
An Instagram post by the church on Thursday called on the public to join in celebrating the couple.
The post read, “It’s time to honour our beloved Global President / Senior Pastor Matthew and esteemed Resident Pastor Yemisi Ashimolowo, on their 43rd wedding anniversary.
“We praise the Lord for their continuous excellent example to the Body of Christ and pray for many years of continuous bliss.”
Ashimolowo and his wife are blessed with children and grandchildren. The cleric’s wife is a resident pastor of KICC Walthamstow, London and head of KICC Winning Women Ministry.
In a 2014 interview with City People, Mrs Ashimolowo said she never envisaged marrying a pastor especially as she was the daughter of a pastor.
“Marrying a pastor was the last thing in my mind. Because my dad is a pastor and as a pastor’s daughter, I dreaded marrying a pastor. My dad has two brothers that are pastors also but of different denominations. I never really wanted to marry a pastor but God knows the plans He has for our lives,” she said.
