Super Falcons star, Asisat Oshoala, has joined Spanish giants, Barcelona, on a permanent deal.
The 24-year-old initially joined Barcelona on a six-month loan deal in January from Chinese side, Dalian Quanjian.
She went on to establish herself in the team with eight goals after 11 games in all competitions.
The deal was announced in a statement on the Catalan club’s website.
“Asisat Oshoala and FC Barcelona are to sign a new contract that ties the player to the Catalan club until 30 June 2022, following the agreement for the Nigerian international to be transferred to the club from Chinese side Dalian Quanjian,” the club announced.
Oshaola scored including Barcelona’s first Uefa Women’s Champions League final goal, in a 4-1 loss to Lyon two weeks ago.
She is expected to play a prominent role for Nigeria in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup which commences on June 7.
The former Rivers Angels striker has previously played for Liverpool Ladies and Arsenal Ladies in England.
