Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has congratulated Miracle Igbokwe for winning the 2018 edition of Big Brother Naija.
Miracle was declared winner of the reality TV show in a grand finale held in South Africa on Sunday.
In congratulatory messages posted on Twitter on Monday, Atiku, 72, said the victory is proof that Nigerian youths are hardworking.
“Congratulations to Miracle, winner of #BBNaija. Miracle is proof that Nigerian youths are hardworking, innovative and creative.”

The businessman continued: “May this victory lead to the miraculous for Nigeria’s youth who have shown that they have what it takes to help take this great nation of ours to the next level. To Nigeria’s youth I say believe in yourselves. #BBNaija.”

Atiku’s message comes a week after President Muhammadu Buhari told an audience at the Commonwealth Head Government Meeting in London that many Nigerian youths want everything free without doing anything.
The timing of the message was not lost on some Twitter users who knocked Atiku for allegedly trying to make political gain from Big Brother Naija.
