Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has won the presidential election conducted in Taraba state.
Collation officer for the state, Prof. Shehu Iya, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Madibo Adamawa University of Technology, announced on Tuesday that Atiku polled 374,743 votes to defeat Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who got 324,906 votes.
The state, according to him, had 1,777,105 registered voters; 777,105 eligible voters were accredited; while 741,564 votes were cast.
He put the total number of valid votes at 712,877 while 28,627 votes were rejected.
Atiku won in 10 local governments out of 16 while Buhari won in six.
