Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has announced the loss of his mother-in-law Khadija Musdafa.
She was the widow of the 11th Lamido of Adamawa Aliyu Musdafa.
Atiku stated on Twitter on Monday night that she was a compassionate woman. He also commiserated with the incumbent Lamido of Adamawa and the Musdafa royal family.
“…It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing away of my beloved mother-in-law and wife of the late Lamido Aliyu Musdafa, Hajiya Khadija Aliyu Musdafa. Hajiya Musdafa was kind and compassionate,” he wrote.
“On behalf of my family, I express my deepest condolences to the Lamido of Adamawa HRH Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa and the Musdafa royal family.”
The deceased will be buried on Tuesday in Yola, Adamawa State capital.
Atiku also condoled the government and people of Adamawa, praying that “the Almighty Allah will forgive her sins and grant her Aljannah Firdaus”.
