Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Monday hosted ex-presidential candidate Peter Obi in his Abuja residence.
It was the duo’s first meeting since the 2023 general elections.
Atiku tweeted that it was his “honour and privilege” to host Obi.
The nation’s former number two citizen was dressed in white to receive Obi who was clothed in black.
The duo contested the 2023 presidential election on different platforms. Atiku stood for the election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while Obi contested on the Labour Party’s platform.
Obi was Atiku’s running mate in the 2019 presidential election on the PDP platform. The election was won by President Muhammadu Buhari the incumbent at the time.
Meanwhile, Obi also visited former Jigawa State governor Sule Lamido in Abuja.
