Diego Simeone has proven once again that being involved in a tasking job as football coaching doesn’t necessarily affect family duties.
This was demonstrated after the Atletico Madrid coach became a father for the fourth time – with his latest addition coming in the early hours of Friday.
Simeone, one of Europe’s brightest coaches, alongside girlfriend, Carla Pereyra, welcomed a baby girl named Francesca.
“The greatest thing in life, love for our children! Welcome Francesca,” Simeone wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture of the baby’s hand clutching his.
The good news came two days after the 46-year-old led his Atletico team to a resounding 1-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Simeone already has three sons with his first wife, Carolina Baldini, who he divorced in 2008.
The former Argentina midfielder’s eldest son, Giovanni Simeone, plays for Genoa in Serie A and scored on his full debut at the weekend.
Aside the victory over the Germans, Simeone’s side have won five of their last six matches in all competitions after a disappointing start to the campaign.
Atletico currently sit third in the table, two points off leaders Real Madrid and face a tough trip to Valencia on Sunday.
