Former chairman of the First Bank of Nigeria Ltd Ibukun Awosika has paid tributes to a man named Abdullahi Funsho, a friend of her family.
Abdullahi died aged 40 on April 17.
Awosika described him in an Instagram post on Thursday morning as enterprising and kind-hearted among other things.
“My darling ‘aburo’, what a joy it was to watch you from your childhood grow into a brilliant, enterprising, kind-hearted, compassionate, generous and resourceful young man. Always smiling and bringing smiles to the faces of others,” the businesswoman wrote.
Awosika added that she was saddened it was Abdullahi’s body that was returning home for burial.
“Tough to imagine it’s your body coming home today and not you!! As we receive and lay you to rest today, May the Lord heal and encourage your parents, siblings and the entire family as we walk through this challenging season. Your sovereignty is unquestioned God!” she wrote.
