Comedian and filmmaker Ayo (AY) Makun has bought a Lexus SUV for his wife to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary.
This was revealed by AY’s brother and celebrity designer Yomi Casual in an Instagram post on Friday.
Yomi said that he and his wife are tapping into his older brother’s blessings.
In a repost, AY jokingly said he learned from Davido who famously gave his girlfriend Chioma a Porsche to celebrate her 23rd birthday earlier in the year.
He added that he was publicly ‘reinsuring’ his wife on their 10th anniversary.
AY and Mabel Makun celebrated 10 years of marriage on Thursday.
“I may not be able to explain my feelings in word, but this 10th year wedding anniversary simply attests to the fact that we are meant for each other. Today is as special in my life as I believe it is in yours,” the Merry Men producer wrote in an Instagram post.
Mabel, an interior designer also said she is “grateful to God for the gift of life, good health, love, family and friends.”
The couple have known each other for 15 years and have stayed together in spite of speculations that all was not well between them particularly between 2006 and 2007.
They have a daughter Michelle Makun born in 2008.
