Comedians AY Makun and Basketmouth have made a public appearance together, putting an end to their 18-year feud caused by the latter’s alleged non-payment of N30,000 fee for a show.

The comics appeared on AY’s The Glass House podcast.

In the video shared on AY’s Instagram page on Friday, both men were seen laughing and reflecting on their misunderstandings, openly discussing their “new realities.”

AY kicked off the conversation by introducing Basketmouth as “a beast who doesn’t forgive,” prompting laughter from his colleague.

The two reminisced over past issues, with AY joking about not receiving payment for a show.

“But you dey owe me 30k,” AY teased, to which Basketmouth responded with laughter, claiming he had already settled it.

The two comedians shared insights into their prolonged rift.

AY remarked, “I didn’t even know when the fight started. I just noticed it was there. Every day I’d wake up thinking it was just boys being boys, but somehow it stretched into several years.”

Basketmouth also added, “Most times people swear allegiance by default. When we were not on good terms some people made it their business.”

AY captioned the post writing, “After 18 years of misunderstandings, join me and @Basketmouth on my Glass House Podcast for an unforgettable conversation! Tune in as we share stories, laughs, and insights on our new realities.”

Their reconciliation has sparked joy across social media with fellow entertainers and fans celebrating the end of their feud.

Many praised the comedians for setting an example of unity and forgiveness, marking this as a memorable moment for Nigerian entertainment.

AY showed support for Basketmouth on Thursday by attending the screening of the latter’s film Ghetto Love at the African International Film Festival (AFRIFF).
