Expressing his gratitude, AY described the visit as a proud moment to celebrate both his latest project and the iconic journey of his character Akpos, who has made a global impact.

He wrote, “Honoured to pay a courtesy visit to His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, to officially endorse The Waiter movie, showing in cinemas nationwide from December 20th!

“It’s a special moment as we celebrate the incredible journey of Akpos, a character that has not only captured hearts but also made history by entering the Guinness World Records.

“Proud to represent Delta State and share this exciting story with the world alongside @mofedamijo, who has consistently supported my brand growth.”

AY’s visit follows his recent recognition as the Box Office King by the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) earlier this month.

He expressed his appreciation for the award, acknowledging the vital role played by his fans, cast, crew and supporters in his storytelling journey.
