Nollywood actress, Ayo Adesanya, hosted a party on Thursday to celebrate her 50th birthday.
The well-attended ceremony that doubled as a celebration of her 25-year career in the movie industry took place at Haven Homes in Lekki.

Some of her friends in attendance included Faithia Balogun, Pasuma, Mide Martins, Funsho Adeolu, Iyabo Ojo, Bimbo Oshin, Ogogo, Afeez Owo and Laide Bakare.
Ayo Adesanya thanked her friends for “popping it” in an Instagram post on Friday.

“HAVEN event center @thehavenhomes was lit yesterday …..we popped it,” she wrote.
An Ijebu from Ogun State, Ayo attended St. Ann School, Ibadan, Oyo State for her secondary education before proceeding to the University of Ibadan.
She began acting on the AIT soap opera, Palace, before moving to mainstream Nollywood.

A popular face in English and Yoruba movies, she has also produced and directed her own productions.
Her broken marriage to Goriola Hassan produced a son and she has not ruled out the possibility of taking another shot at marriage.
