Seun Kuti, son of late Fela Kuti and brother to Femi Kuti has responded to the allegation made by Baba Ani against Femi Kuti, stating that Baba Ani fabricated the truth.
Qed.ng had reported that Baba Ani, the former manager of the Egypt 80 band said that Femi Kuti banned him from the shrine because of his loyalty to Seun Kuti and the Egypt 80 band.
Seun in an Instagram post on Tuesday debunked the allegation, stating that is it not factual.
“It has come to my attention that some stories are occupying social media due to what Baba Ani alleged. That is what it is, an allegation not totally factual.
“My family and I decided years ago to let peace reign, I have spoken to Baba Ani several times too. I’m shocked he has decided to open up old wounds and fabricate the truth. And as I have pointed out to him I stand with my family and brother Femi Anikulapo-Kuti,” he wrote.
Seun Kuti and the Egypt 80 band recently performed at the Freedom Park Lagos in celebration of Baba Ani’s 85th birthday.
