Actress Toyin Adegbola has joined comedienne Princess in celebrating actor Baba Ijesha’s conviction for sexual assault, saying that the former has been vindicated.
An Ikeja Special Offences Court on Thursday, July 14 found Baba Ijesha, born Olanrewaju James, guilty of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
The minor is the foster daughter of Princess.
Shortly after the court’s verdict, Princess in an Instagram live session rained curses on Yomi Fabiyi and others who showed support for Baba Ijesha during the trial.
In the video she posted, Princess is seen shedding tears as she expressed her gratitude to God for justice served.
Comforting her in the comment section of the post, Toyin Adegbola, also known as Toyin Tomato urged her to stop crying because God has vindicated her.
She said: “Please stop crying, God has vindicated you. God is the only comforter and he will continue to comfort you, amen. It is well my dear.”
During the Baba Ijesha saga last year, Toyin described the sexual assault case as unfortunate, stating that only the court of law can deliver judgement to either exonerate or find him guilty of the said offence.
