Comedienne Damilola Adekoya alias Princess has showered prayers on actress Iyabo Ojo for standing by her during actor Baba Ijesha’s sexual assault trial.
An Ikeja Special Offences Court on Thursday, July 14 found Baba Ijesha born Olanrewaju James guilty of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
The minor is the foster daughter of Princess.
Baba Ijesha was found guilty of charges 2, 3, 4 and 5 but discharged and acquitted of charges 1 and 6.
Grateful for the part she played during the saga, Princess took to Instagram to celebrate and pray for Iyabo Ojo.
She wrote: “Where do I start from? how do I begin to say thank you? What did I ever do for you? Why did God decide to use you for me? I have racked my brain but no perfect answers come to mind. Iyabooooo!!!
“May God almighty, the maker of heaven and earth thank you for me. You will never know shame!!! You will never know sorrow!!! You will never know sickness!!! Every child you birthed, adopted or trained will remain favored by the living God who adores children. Osé modúpé, mi oní fi irú san lórúko Jésù.”
“We give God all the glory,” Iyabo replied in the comment section of the post.
During the sexual assault saga, Iyabo who is also a sexual assault survivor launched a series of attacks on her male colleague Yomi Fabiyi over what is generally regarded as his disgraceful support for Baba Ijesha.
