Veteran
Yoruba actor, Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe, has returned to
Nigeria after his treatment in the United States.
This was
announced in a statement on his behalf by colleague, Yomi Fabiyi, in an
Instagram post on Wednesday.
“Baba Suwe
leaves Hospital in Rhode Island, United States of America and now back in
Nigeria. He will continue his final recovery at home,” he wrote in parts.
Late last month, false reports said that Baba Suwe was dead.
The rumour was swiftly denied by the president of the
Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji
Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin.
TAMPAN with the assistance of the Federal Ministry of Health has been at the forefront of efforts made in respect to the funny actor’s poor health.
