Darasimi, a content creator and wife of skit maker Ganiu Morufu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has spoken out regarding the accusations of infidelity levied against her.
Addressing the claims in an interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTokers on Sunday, Dara denied cheating on her husband and insisted that infidelity was not the reason their marriage ended.
She explained that during a visit to actor Baba Tee’s house, she only sat on his lap during a ‘Truth or Dare’ game intiated by her friend, Mary Gold.
Lande had previously alleged in a viral interview that Dara was involved with multiple men in the entertainment industry, including Baba Tee.
Dismissing these claims, Dara detailed her account of the incident:
“The first time I met Baba Tee was in July last year when Mary Gold invited me to his house, saying she wanted to ask him to be part of her movie launch. Baba Tee had no idea I was Lande’s wife. When we arrived, Mary Gold wanted to drink alcohol, so she and Baba Tee’s driver went out to buy some. I stayed in the living room, and Baba Tee and I barely spoke until they returned. Then Mary Gold suggested we play ‘Truth or Dare.’
“At that point, I told Baba Tee that I was Lande’s wife before we started playing. As the game went on, Mary Gold stripped naked and gave Baba Tee oral sex. I had already taken about ten shots of alcohol while they were also smoking marijuana. Mary Gold then dared Baba Tee to engage with me sexually and he went to get a condom. When he returned, I refused the position he suggested but agreed to sit on his lap. We told Mary Gold to turn to the wall so she wouldn’t watch us. That was all that happened—I only sat on his lap; we didn’t do anything.”
Dara challenged Lande to provide evidence of her alleged infidelity, emphasising that their breakup was not due to unfaithfulness but for other personal reasons she chose not to disclose.
Meanwhile, Baba Tee had earlier admitted to sleeping with Dara, claiming that the encounter was brief and influenced by alcohol during the ‘Truth or Dare’ game.
On Monday, the 45-year-old actor issued a public apology to Ijoba Lande on his Instagram page, writing:
“I’m deeply sorry Lande. From the bottom of my heart, brother. I take responsibility for my mistakes. How Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge. I fear woman.”
