Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman, has donated office equipment to the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM).
Chairman/CEO of NIDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, received the equipment on Wednesday.
In a tweet, Mrs Dabiri-Erewa said the equipment came as a ‘relief’ in the commission’s time of need.
“Big gratitude to @hadizabalausman @nigerianports for donation of most valuable office equipment to @nidcom_gov. Talk about women supporting women. 20 desktops, 10 laptops. 2 photocopiers. Such a relief in our moment of need,” wrote the former House of Representatives member.
NIDCOM ran short of office equipment following its clash with the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) over office space in the NCC building in Abuja.
The diaspora commission had alleged that armed security operatives acting on the orders of the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, chased NIDCOM staff out of an office allocated to it in the NCC building by the Federal Government.
The operatives were said to have taken away some of the commission’s office equipment and are yet to return them.
