New Brighton & Hove Albion defender, Leon Balogun, has expressed his delight to finally have a feel of English football.
Balogun, 30, has spent his entire club career in Germany – kitting for seven sides.
The Super Eagles forward joined Chris Hughton’s team as a free agent before the World Cup.
After making his debut in a pre-season friendly stalemate against Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night, Balogun is anticipating the start of Premier League season.
“I’m an aggressive player with the typical German discipline, but what I am trying to do now is fit in because there are some differences,” the 30-year-old stated.
“I like the physical aspects of the game, and I am also looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere here, which I got a sense of in the game on Tuesday.
“I enjoyed it a lot, and I wanted to soak it up. Now I want to give my all and just try to improve.”
Balogun was a key member of Nigeria’s World Cup squad in Russia and has been capped 22 times.
