Singer, Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has announced the death of an employee of his talent management company, Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E).
Sharing the sad news on Instagram on Monday, the 38-year-old said Lucia died at age 25, adding that her passing is “completely devastating” for the company.

“Lucia’s passing is completely devastating for us at EME. She was a 25 year old with the maturity of someone in their 40’s. She was always pleasant and so full of life, a joy to work with and one of our most treasured employees; it’s so sad that her time with us was cut short,” he began.
“Her passing is so sudden and so final. These kinds of incidents are tough to take, and impossible to understand. We can only treasure the memories that we had with her. We’re absolutely gutted that she’s gone, but we are so grateful that we got to know her at all.”
The actor-turned-politician added: “We pray for her, her loved ones, and for each other. May she rest in peace, may God give the kind of strength and comfort that only He can provide to her family, friends and to us who worked with and loved her.”

Banky W had contested the House of Representatives election during the 2019 elections to represent Eti-Osa in Lagos under the platform of the Modern Democratic Party (MDP).
He lost to the son of a former minister of state for defence, Ibrahim Obanikoro, of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
