Musician and actor, Banky W, has been made the first brand ambassador of ride-hailing service, Uber, in Nigeria.
Both parties announced the deal on social media post on Thursday.

According to the singer, he has been an avid user of the service for years.
He also disclosed that he bought a car for his driver and signed in on Uber so he could make money for both of them during his off time.
“Instead of him sitting around all day waiting for me while I’m in the studio, office, or on set, he can hit the road and generate income for us, and then we split it at the end of the month,” he wrote.
Uber has faced harsh criticism from drivers who accused it of short-changing them as well as from riders over poor quality of service.
Competition from Taxify has also affected Uber’s fortunes in Nigeria.
