Former President of the United States of America Barack Obama has announced his 2023 summer playlist.
The 44th American leader unveiled the list via his Twitter handle on Thursday night.
Songs of two Nigerian musicians Burna Boy and Ayra Starr made the list.
‘Sittin On Top Of The World’ by Grammy award-winning Burna Boy featuring US-based British rapper 21 Savage, and Ayra Starr’s ‘Sability’ were the only songs by Nigerians on the playlist.
Obama tweeted, “Like I do every year, here are some songs I’ve been listening to this summer — a mix of old and new. Look forward to hearing what I’ve missed.”

‘Iron Man’ of Rema’s debut EP made Obama’s 2019 summer playlist, while Wizkid’s hit song ‘Essence’ featuring Tems was included in his 2021 summer playlist.
