The Spanish Football League (LFP) on Monday night recognised players from Real Madrid and FC Barcelona during its annual awards ceremony.
League, Cup and Champions League winners FC Barcelona walked away with the majority of the prizes with Luis Enrique named coach of the year, Claudio Bravo was considered as the best goalkeeper of 2015 while Lionel Messi was named the best striker of the year.
The Argentine also picked the biggest accolade at the event after he was crowned the overall best player of the season, piping rival, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Neymar was considered best South American player of 2014/15 season, while Valencia midfielder Sofaine Feghouli was the best African player in Spain.
Despite a disappointing year, Real Madrid also won three prizes as Sergio Ramos was named best defender of the year and James Rodriguez the best midfielder, while Ronaldo was named fans’ player of the season.
