Chairman, advisory board of The Nigeria Prize for Science Barth Nnaji has called on scientists and innovators to submit entries for the science prize for this year.
The science prize for 2024, sponsored by the Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG), is themed “Innovations and Technologies for Reducing the Effects of Climate Change”.
In a video posted on the NLNG’s Instagram page on Friday, Nnaji, a former minister of science and technology and also ex-minister of power, led the board in calling for entries.
Members of the advisory board Prof Baba Abubakar and Dr Nike Akande also joined the call.
NLNG inaugurates twin theatre suite at JUTH
The prize is open to scientists and innovators from all over the world.
The winner will receive a prize of $100,000.
To submit an entry, an applicant must submit a research paper or project proposal that outlines his/her innovative solution to climate change as it affects Nigeria.
Deadline for submissions is April 30, 2024.
