Comedian and filmmaker Basketmouth is elated following the positive feedback on his debut film A Ghetto Love Story, which was showcased at the Filmone Year End Exhibitors Showcase.

The event, held on Thursday at Filmhouse Cinemas Imax, brought together industry professionals for an exclusive preview of the film.

Basketmouth took to Instagram to express his gratitude and excitement over the enthusiastic response from the audience, which included fellow filmmakers and cinema executives.

He shared that the film received a “raging ovation,” signaling strong praise from the crowd.

Basketmouth also extended his appreciation to Filmone Entertainment, the film’s distributor for organising what he called the best showcase of 2024 and for their unwavering support throughout the production process.

In his Instagram post, he wrote, “We were very pleased with the first reactions to A Ghetto Love Story at the Filmone Year End Exhibitors Showcase.

“We got the opportunity to share our first film with industry professionals at Filmhouse Cinemas Imax, and it was met with a raging ovation.

He also announced the film’s official release date, adding, “A Ghetto Love Story is coming to a screen near you on November 22. See you at cinemas.”
