Comedian-actor Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basketmouth has announced the end of 12-year-old to Elsie.
The comedian shared the shocking news in a statement on his social media accounts on Thursday.
The 44-year-old said the couple decided to end their marriage after much deliberations but will continue to work together for the sake of their children.
“As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation. After much deliberations, my wife and have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. As we move forward separately. we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need. We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through these times.Thank you,” he wrote on Instagram.

Basketmouth also shared the statement on his Facebook account.
On their eleventh marriage anniversary, Basketmouth penned a lovely message to Elsie on Instagram and also disclosed she gave him a fake number when they first met.
“After you gave me a fake phone number the 1st day I met you, no be 11yrs we don marry so? This life sha, shakara no good sometimes. Happy Anniversary to you @elsieokpocha thanks for choosing me, thanks for saying yes, thanks for giving me a beautiful home and thank you for being my wife. Love you forever,” he wrote.
The couple has three children together.
