Big Brother Naija season nine contestant Kassia has opened up about how the pretence of being besties with her husband and fellow contestant, Kellyrae, is taking a toll on her.
Kassia and Kellyrae, known as DoubleKay, revealed during the season premiere that despite being married, they plan to act like best friends as part of their strategy in the house.
However, after more than two weeks of maintaining this façade, Kassia confided to Biggie during Wednesday’s diary session that the deception is becoming increasingly difficult to bear.
“This whole bestie thing that we are doing is really getting to me.
“Sometimes I just want to jump on him [Kellyrae], but I can’t because of this whole bestie thing,” she lamented.
Kassia further expressed her frustration with how the act is affecting her performance during tasks.
“Most of the tasks that we are asked to do, like the Aquafina Padi of Life task we did yesterday, I couldn’t really express myself because I didn’t want the house to know that we were married. It hasn’t been easy, Big Brother,” she said.
Meanwhile, Kellyrae has hinted at a plan to create the impression that he is interested in fellow housemates Anita and Hanni, hoping to further distract the others from suspecting his true relationship with Kassia.
