Big Brother Naija reality star Jeff Bankz has been released hours after he was detained by South Africa Immigration.
The season four ex-housemate first cried out about how he was treated upon his arrival in the country which he expressed on his X account on Friday.
Jeff, whose real name is Jeff Nweke said he was held custody alongside other Nigerians for reasons he claimed was connected to “racism.”
Hours later, the businessman shared a video on his Instagram account, saying that he has been released from custody.
He wrote: “I’ve left their custody just now. But my heart bleeds that my S. A Brothers would use the powers of their office to oppress their African brothers and sisters simply because we are Nigerian. I’m putting down the rest of this appalling story on my IG stories from X. #saynotoxenophobia.”
