Big Brother Naija star Nengi Hampson has announced the birth of her baby girl.
The 27-year-old star shared pictures and clips announcing the birth of the child on Instagram on Sunday. While revealing the baby’s gender, she opted to keep her daughter’s face hidden to protect her privacy.
She captioned the post, “The purest form of love, I received the most precious gift on 21-02. My greatest blessing, my heart in human form, my purpose. God knew I needed you my baby. I love you more than words could ever explain. It’s us forever.”
Fellow BBN stars like Liquorose, Bella Okagbue, Lily Afe, Doyinsola David and Prince Nelson were among the many celebrities who congratulated her on the new addition to her family.
The announcement follows weeks of speculation and controversy surrounding the paternity of her child.
Social media rumours had linked Nengi’s pregnancy to the Governor of Bayelsa, Douye Diri, who purportedly has four wives.
The allegations, which suggested that Douye was the father of the child, gained traction online.
However, Nengi dismissed the rumours as baseless and false. She clarified that her pregnancy had no connection to any governor.
“As much as I believe social media lies aren’t worth my time, I’ve come to accept that we live in a world where people are quick to spread lies without limits, so let me be clear: I’m not pregnant for any governor.
“I’ve chosen to speak because this isn’t just an attack on me—it involves people I hold in the highest regard, and I won’t allow a beautiful, personal part of my life to be turned into something ugly,” she declared.
Nengi further appealed for privacy as she enjoys her pregnancy journey.
The reality TV star didn’t disclose the child’s father.
