Big Brother Naija reality star Pere Egbi has debunked reports on social media alleging that he is having a sexual relationship with Rashida Bello, the first lady of Kogi State.
Blogger Jackson Ude in a now-deleted Twitter post claimed there were rumours that the reality star and the first lady are lovers.
Mr Ude, a former director of strategy and communications under President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, said that the duo has been spotted severally at the Hilton Hotel Abuja.
He wrote: “Why is #BBNaija Pere Egbu all over the place with Kogi First Lady, Rashida Bello? Gist around Abuja says they are lovers. Egbi and Mrs Bello are said to have been sighted severally at the Hilton Hotel Abuja. The gist is that when they first met, the First lady gifted Egbi N5 million.”
Reacting to the allegation on Twitter on Tuesday, May 31, Pere said the publication was false, he described the rumoured affair as “a demonic lie and a figment of a diseased imagination of Jackon Ude” and those who retweeted the post.
The 35-year-old also threatened legal action against the blogger and others.
He wrote: “For the records, the publication about me and the First Lady of Kogi state is a demonic lie and a figment of a diseased imagination of Jackson Ode and those retweeting that rubbish, they must answer me in court both in Nigeria and in the United States of America where he is based.”
