Nigerians on Twitter have launched a hashtag #BeLikeNgoziChallenge to celebrate former minister of finance Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on her appointment as the next director-general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
Mrs Okonjo-Iweala’s appointment was announced on Monday following a special meeting of the WTO General Council.
She is the first woman and the first African to lead the WTO.
The appointment has generated excitement on the home front. Participants of the challenge are required to dress in Nigerian fabrics like Okonjo-Iweala.
